​What is a Geriatrician?
A Geriatrician is a professional who studies the aging process and how to prevent diseases in older adults. One of the biggest issues for a Geriatrician is to prevent and treat dementia.
Who should visit a Geriatrician?
Older people who have an increase in health problems should seek help from a Geriatrician. Our office see's patients that are 55 and older.
What is the difference between a Geriatrician and a Gerontologist?
A Geriatrician treats and prevents the ill-effects of aging while a Gerontologist simply studies the aging process itself.

What is the difference between Nursing homes and assisted living
Assisted Living Residents are capable of handling most daily activities on their own but assistance in daily living is available. Depending on insurance, it maybe covered under Medicaid programs.

Nursing Homes/Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Residents require constant care and are not able to handle daily activities on their own. Medicare and Medicaid may reimburse certified facilities.
